Re: Animals update

Alright everyone........ here's an update of my body transformation & diet as off this morning i weigh 17st 6lb (244lb) im struggling to drop weight now ive been that weight for two weeks didn't lose any weight last week or week before..... i'm eating ,2,700 calories a day, carb intake is 190grams protein 280grams, fats 90grams, so i think im going to have to introduce cardio on my non training days........ my training days are mon / wed / friday......... All compound exercise's,   squats, bench press, millitary press, barbell rows & deadlifts.....  I could drop calories a bit more or do the cardio i'm not sure what to do yet........... what do you lot reckon ?? will post new avatar soon !!!!!!!!!!! cheers THE ANIMAL.

Re: Animals update

How long have you been dieting for? Is 240lb still your goal weight? Any idea of current BF%

At your weight you should still be dropping weight on those calories. Have you thought about taking a diet break and eating around maintenance and then  getting back on the diet, you could try adding in some cardio first and see if that helps or try some metabolic conditioning at the end of your workouts (check out Martin Rooney's Hurricane's)

Re: Animals update

This is my 15 week of diet but been on hol for two weeks so not counting them as didn't train & didn't stick to diet i didnt go mad just ate convienent food occasionally.... so really 13 weeks proper dieting & training....... i'm 244 lb as said my goal was 240lb ripped but @ that weight i wouldn't be ripped ive got definition and vains popping threw but not enough for where i'd like to be so realistically i think 225lb would be a better goal so need to lose another 20 lbs approx....... my body fat is around 14-15 % i would say, i haven't messed around dropping or upping calories ive just been lowering them week by week & doing that ive been losing 1 to  1 1/2 lb a week ive done no cardio at all just low ( 5 x 5 heavy training three times a week ) like i say the last two weeks got to a sticking point 244 lb........

Re: Animals update

Decided i'm going back to hypertrophy training for a while been on 5x5 for 4 months now time to trick the muscles, should notice some difference as muscles are used to heavy ass weights so the higher reps will confuse the muscle.... I will still be doing compound exercises though with some isolation exercises too but higher rep range so weight's will not be so heavy !!

Re: Animals update

I'd be inclined to agree with Ben here - you've been dieting for just over 3months. Thats a long time, i'd be tempted to run a few weeks with slightly above maintenance to boost the muscles and give yourself a bit of recovery. You'll prob gain very well on with your body being used to being underfed to suddenly flood it with a bit more, then after a few weeks see how you feel and get back on the diet again.

Re: Animals update

Here you go mate pick a value from the below table that best suits you

Setting your daily calorie goal

Description    Bodyweight multiplier (cal/lb)
Sedentary    10-11
Lightly active    11-12
Moderately active    12-13
Very active    14-15
Extremely active    18-19

If you've already got your fats and protein nailed on then, just make up the rest of your days calories from carbs

Re: Animals update

Yes mate two weeks should do it, your not in any rush to hit your goal are you?

Here's an article from Lyle Mcdonald explaining the reasoning behind it

Re: Animals update

Alright lads...........  Ive had my bodyfat measured Accurately it's currently 13.6 % so its time to introduce some lean gain supplements to my diet, i'm thinking of trying either EPI for lean gains or the XFA Advanced i'm after some of your guys reviews on either of the two which maybe suitable...... maybe even SD matrix, my weight this morning is 236 lb and dropping, my calories are @ 2450 daily ( clean diet with high protein & low carbs ) Any help / Advice/ Reviews on any of the above supplements would be most gratefull or any other suggestions or ideas, cheers THE ANIMAL  Nation-Smilies/=)

Re: Animals update

the beast himself! Nation-Smilies/wink how's things bro? I haven't really been writing on the forum much lately. apologies..
anyways as for your choice of compound I wouldn't use SD as it aromtises quite heavily any lean gains you may be having will be masked with bloat/water plus extra fat gain is possible with high aromatising steroids/PHs. why don't you try a hardening compound. maybe anavar at a relatively high dose? much safer than SD and possibly epi..plus A LOT  better for your goal.
only downside would be price. strength gains from the anavar would be a bonus while your reducing calories and if your reducing carbs the anavar will help keep your strength up..

Great to see an update from you, 13.6 thats some loss in bodyfat well done, i think you should go with the XFA as it is a natural supplement with no sides whats the harm in trying it? then maybe think about PH/Steroids after

Re: Animals update

Great work bigman 236 is awesome!

I'd prob go the Marty route - look at a natty stack / supp if your still wanting to lean/gain then when you get sub 12% hit something up a bit stronger?

Re: Animals update

I would also go with the XFA as this should have a profound effect on nutrient partitioning. I'm having amazing effects from it at the moment while I'm taking it so be sure to check out my log.

If you're cutting with Epi then this will try you out further and probably make you feel quite lethargic and stiff / achey in the joints.
