Question | I am 20 years old im 6 ft 3 and weigh 70 kilos i have got your product pro mass and want to know how much and how often i should drink it and any other tips of building muscles i go to a MMA gym and im there everyday ive been told i only need to drink 25g of the promass weith milk afterr a workout is this correct or would drinking more make me put on more muscle |
Answer | Hi Jamie,
To put muscle on, you need a calorie surplus. You sound like an active guy with a fast metabolism, so try two servings of the pro-mass per day (2-3 scoops) and put some milk in alongside it if you're intent on bulking up. |

Question | im confused as to what to eat i have been told i should just have protein but at the moment im not seeing results even with taking promass i have been told that protein alone wont help me gain mass is this correct i mean do i need the same amount of carbs in my work out as proteins what diet would you recommend whilst taking promass |
Answer | Promass is a high calorie, high carb protein shake.
Protein alone will not cause you to gain mass, you need adequate carbs.
A simple rule of thumb is that you need a protein serving the size and thickness of the palm of your hand 6 times a day plus carbs the size of 2 of your fists 6 times a day to gain mass,
Promass in milk provides one of these meals |

Question | this might sound like a stupid question but im not quite sure as to how to take promass all i do is mix promass with water is that correct or do i have to blend it |
Answer | Sure, you can mix promass with water, in a blender, or buy one of our shaker cups that work really well. |
|
|
Question | thanks for that im not quite sure as to when to take promass for example before training after training can i take it with meals or do i also have to wait 2 3 hours like i normally do when it comes to a meal also should i be taking it on my days off |
Answer | Take it post workout when the whey protein will be absorbed well. You can also take it first thing in the morning to stop catabolism from the night before. You can take small doses along with meals, but it's better to have solid sources of food, and use a whey based product in times when you need a fast hit of quality protein into your body. |

Question | im 9 stones and im taking promass i have been told that for me to gain weight i have to eat a lot of proteins so i have bought tuna nuts yoghurt scrambled eggs milkshakes is this correct if so how do i balance it out meaning when should i take promass and when should i have my meals is this what i should be eating when im taking promass or does it not matter seeing as i must be gaining weight due to promass |
Answer | Yes Casper, you do need to increase protein intake to gain muscle. You need a calorie surplus, so try to eat a lot of good meat sources, dairy, protein shakes, etc.
Pro Mass will inevitably assist you gaining weight, but like you said it's important to have the correct nutrition and weight training to back it up and keep the results consistent. |

|
Question | Will I gain weight quicker with Promass mixed with water or milk |
Answer | There is more calories in milk, but you will be able to stomach less powder.
In water the drink will pass through your stomach a little swifter, enabling you to eat again sooner.
You have to balance these things for yourself.
At the end of the day, the more calories you eat, the more weight you gain. Beyond a certain limit, even with great training and nutrition, its going to be bodyfat.
Therefore aim to gain 2 pounds a week. Make sure your training is progressive and you are getting a little stronger every single week.
Eat or drink 6 meals a day, about 2 to 3 hours apart.
Make sure each meal contains complex carbs, some protein and either fruit or veg |

Question | Hi, I m 20 years old and weigh 9 and a half stones and im 5 ft 10. I want to gain weight upto 11 stones minimum but im finding it hard, I ve got a home gym and Promass but i jst dont use it much because I don t see the difference what can I do to gain weight fast please help me out |
Answer | Imagine potatoes, bread or rice equivalent to the size of two of your fists. A chicken or lean meat portion the size and thickness of the palm of your hand.
Now eat that 6 times a day for 7 days a week and dont break that pattern for 4 weeks. Can you do that? If you can, you'll gain weight.
If you cant eat a solid meal, swap it for 150g of promass in skim milk.
Make sure you train to get stronger - just a tiny bit - at every workout. This causes your muscles to adapt by getting larger.
Break the habit of trying something half heartedly. Either do it or dont, but once you decide to do it, really do it.
That builds confidence in your ability to achieve something and is the only way to make consistent progress when the going gets tough.
Good luck and persever, you will succeed if you stick with it. |

Question | Hi there, Im really worried about my weight im about 5ft 10 and im 21 years old and im extremely underwieght. When I stayed with my mum she cooked me a lot of big meals and I went from 8 stone to 8 and a half but it took ages for me to put on weight and ive got my own house now and I half lost a stone and a half so im now just under 7 and a half as I have not been eating the same as I cant afford to buy decent meals. I dont have a lot of knowledge about weight gain and working out but I have been trying to read up on it. I purchased pro mass 4.5kg and was wondering how i can get the best results. I work night shift so i dont have breakfast as I finish at 7am and go to bed when I wake up I have my lunch and then my dinner and my last meal is at work around 1.30am but sometimes I skip lunch. I just need some help and advice on using this effectivley as I would like to achieve my goal to get back to what I was and also further as 8 and a half stone is still underweight for my age im also planning to workout but dont have much knowledge of that either. |
Answer | At 19 I weighed under 9 stone and am 5 foot 10, so I know where you're comming from. I now weight 16 stone, so I know whats realistic to achieve.
The basics are what you should look at. This not only works, but its not expensive.
First off, the basics of your diet should be bread, potatoes, rice, tuna, chicken, green veg and apples and oranges. These are healthy, inexpensive and effective for what you want.
Next. You need to eat a meal every 3 hours. Thats 6 meals a day. You need to do this 7 days a week.
Each meal should have bread, potatoes, rice equivalent to 2 of your balled fists. Take tuna/chicken about the size and thickness of the palm of your hand and as much veg and fruit as you want.
Finally, rest and sleep 8 or 9 hours per day. Weight train 3-4 times a week for 30-50 mins per workout and focus on getting stonger at every workout
good luck

Question | Hey there. I ve been going to the gym roughly for 6 months, but have only just started taking it seriously learning about muscle growth, what workout does what and all the groups etc. Obviously a big part of this is nutrition. I am 16, and 5ft8. I haven t weighed myself for well over a year however, so I won t list my last weigh-in, as it would be completely pointless. For roughly a month now I have been stacking Reflex s Instant Whey, Creatine, L-Glutamine and BCAA s. I have a pretty full breakfast and dinner, and train hard 4-5 times a week. However, I have an EXTREMELY fast metabolism, and whilst I can see myself toning up nicely, I would quite like to bulk up, too. However, given the rate of my metabolism, this seems almost impossible! I ve just ordered another tub of Instant Whey (love the stuff) and was wondering whether it s worth adding CNP Pro-Mass to my stack, as it looks like it may be just what I was after. |
Answer | Hi Mike. First off, congrats for being dedicated at 16. It takes commitment, but stick with it, and you'll be duely rewarded my friend.
Your stack looks good, it has the basics. You're smart to make the transition to the weight gainer, and it may nullify the need to continue using Instant Whey. Instead, pick up a weight gainer and use this as your main source of protein + it's more of a meal replacement, with the additional calories. Pro-mass may work well, another one that gives customers excellent results with fast metabolisms, is Critical Mass by Applied Nutrition - one of our best sellers.
Make sure you're progressively lifting heavier weights to cause a stimulus to change, too. This is paramount.
Good luck with your training, anything else we can help you with let us know. |
